TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEES

As part of the NAPA Rewards Program, all player entry fees for the 8-ball Championship, 9-ball Championship, and 10-ball Championship are based on the number of matches each registrant played (regardless of game format) between April 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017. The more matches a player plays, the lower their entry fee is for the national tournament. The below entry fees are per event. 100% of all entry fees along with added prize money will constitute the prize funds. NOTE: Scotch Doubles matches played at your local level do not apply towards the NRP.

TOURNAMENT GREENS FEES

Greens fees are $22 per registrant, per event with the exception of the Juniors Championships, which will be $10.

TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION FEES

In addition to the entry fees and greens fees mentioned above, there is also a registration fee of $12 per registrant, per event.

JUNIORS CHAMPIONSHIP FEES

The entry fees, greens fees and registration fees mentioned above do not apply to the Juniors Championship. Fees for the Juniors Championship are $20 entry fee, $10 greens fee and no registration fee.

LAGGER'S CHOICE CHAMPIONSHIP FEES

The entry fees mentioned above do not apply to the Lagger's Choice Championship. Entry fees for the Lagger's Choice Championship are $50 for everyone.

TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP FEES

The entry fees mentioned above do not apply to the Team Championship. Entry fees for the Team Championship are outlined below in the Eligibility section.

2017 Lagger's Choice Championships For the Lagger's Choice Championships, each participant must be qualified for at least one 2017 NAPA Nationals event in order to play, stay at one of the designated tournament hotels, and book your stay through the official Casino and Resort booking web site, listed below.

2017 Juniors 8-ball Championship For the Juniors 8-ball Championships, each participant must be under the age of 19 at the start of the event, must have at least five (5) NAPA matches played lifetime, stay at one of the designated tournament hotels, and book your stay through the official Casino and Resort booking web site, listed below.
2017 Team 8-ball Championship For the Team 8-ball Championship, each participant must be qualified for at least one 2017 NAPA "Singles" Nationals event in order to participate and team participants do not have to have played on the same team previously. Each participant must stay at one of the designated tournament hotels and must book their hotel stay through the official Casino and Resort booking web site, listed below. Registration forms will be provided by local league operators. Entry fees for this event will be $166 Entry Fee/$22 Greens Fee/$12 Registration Fee for each team, making the total fee for a team $200. Players can form their own teams. All players on each team must be from the same territory. Players are only allowed to play on one team. All teams will be 3-man to 5-man teams, with 3-players playing per team match. All players on a team must have a minimum of 15 NRP points. Tournament will be double elimination.

Each team must have a minimum of three (3) shooters on their roster and can have up to a maximum of five (5) shooters on their roster. All teams must be able to field three shooters, under the NAPA standard 195 SL limit during all of their matches throughout the tournament.

For example: Fielding player #1 with a SL of 98, and then fielding player #2 with a SL of 97 (a total of 195 Team SL), then purposely forfeiting the third match will be illegal. If a team is unable to field a third player due to surpassing the 195 Team SL limit, the entire team match will be forfeited in favor of the opposing team. Teams must be able to field three players for every team match.

Player’s skill levels will not fluctuate during the tournament, unless NAPA HQ or the tournament direction staff deem necessary for the fairness of the tournament.

Players at the table, during their matches, will be required to follow the default time allotment per shot as stated in the Official NAPA Rules 9.1 TIME ALLOTMENT.

The maximum liability a shooter can have against his/hers team's total skill level during the tournament is 110 points. For example, if a shooter, who has a skill level of 125, is fielded to play for his/her team, only 110 points will count towards his/her team's total skill level.

Match races will be the same as your regular league play. Each team must have ONE designated team captain. The team captain, and ONLY the team captain, will be NAPA's point of contact regarding any tournament logistics.

FORMAT: No coaching 8-ball

MISC. NATIONALS DETAILS

GREENS FEE INSTEAD OF COIN DROP There will be no coin drop during the championship tournaments and during open practice at this year's event.

This means that the tables will be open, giving you unlimited play during your championship matches and unlimited practice time on any and all available tables during the event.

Mini-tournaments are not required. They are strictly optional and are generally held daily over the course of the event.

PRIZE MONEY All prize monies will be paid out at the completion of each participant's final match if the participant places in the money. All prize monies will be paid out in the form of bank check.

All prize monies advertised or announced are based on total number of player entries in all events combined and are subjected to be changed at any time, before, during, or after the event by North American Poolshooters Association.

TOURNAMENT RACES True NAPA Races.
EQUIPMENT All playing tables will be 7' Valley pool tables. All cue balls will be red circle cue balls.
SKILL LEVELS Player skill levels that will be used during the event will be the player's skill level at registration deadline. NAPA reserves the right to change any player's skill level at any time before, during or after the event. Entrants and/or participants are not entitled to a refund if NAPA chooses to change their skill level. By registering for the event you accept the terms and conditions below outlining skill level adjustments.
PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION Before the event, you may be required to show a non-expired form of government issued photo identification. During match-play, your opponent has the right to request NAPA officials to verify your identification at any time and you will be required to show proof of identification, when asked by a NAPA official.
OUTSIDE DESIGNATED SMOKING AREAS There are designated smoking areas outside the event hall. There is no smoking inside the venue. Electronic cigarettes are not allowed to be used, puffed or smoked inside the venue.
REFUND POLICY All entry fees and greens fees are fully refundable if requested by May 31, 2017. Registration fees are non-refundable.
OFFICIATING Referees will be available during all events.
LODGING All participants must stay at one of the designated tournament hotels in order to be eligible to participate in any of the scheduled events and book their stay through the official Casino and Resort booking web site, listed below. See 'Eligibilty', above, for details.
GAMING Access to the casino floor is highly restricted by hotel policy.
Players staying at the designated tournament hotels will have access to the casino floor.

NATIONALS DRESS CODE

No bandanas or do-rags. No clothing or headwear judged by NAPA officials to be in poor taste, offensive, worn in a manner other than intended, or unnecessarily revealing (bare midriff, very low neckline, etc;). No sleeveless shirts or garments. This includes womens dresses. No tank tops, tube tops, spaghetti straps, or torn sleeves. Must be at least a t-shirt. No low hanging necklines. No cleavage or chest hair showing. Polo shirts can be respectfully unbuttoned. No button down shirts can be worn unbuttoned without neat underclothing. If a button-down shirt is worn without undergarments, no more than one button below the neck can be unfastened. Dress pants, casual slacks, or jeans that are clean with no significant tears are permissible. No sagging pants. Pants can not be worn below the hips and, if they are, you will be asked to change or put on a belt. Shorts must reach fingertips with arms down by side. No open toe shoes. No flip flops or sandals. No headphones or ear buds of any kind. Medically required hearing aids are permitted. No cell phones or music devices of any kind, including Bluetooth and wireless phone accessories, whether turned on or not. Phones can not be accessed for messages or conversations at any time during a players match, except for emergencies. All audible ringers need to be turned off or set to silent while on the tournament floor, regardless of whether the person is in a match or not. If at any time a player is found to be in violation of the dress code, they will have 15 minutes to correct it. After that time, the match is forfeited.

NATIONALS CODE OF CONDUCT

Proper sportsmanship is expected from all shooters at all times. NAPA reserves the right to disqualify any shooter, at any time, for any reason that NAPA deems as poor sportsmanship or behavior that does not follow the NAPA Code of Conduct as stated in the Official NAPA rules. NAPA reserves the right to disqualify, suspend or ban any player, at any time for heckling, name calling, purposely distracting his/her opponent, using profanity, throwing objects, displaying any kind of physical or verbal violence, cheating, purposely sandbagging, false scoring, displaying or receiving hidden hand signals, displaying or receiving coaching, and any gambling on matches during the championship event.
